Eine echte Rarit\u00e4t! Wir sind stolz darauf von diesem Armagnac aus 1929 in 2021 ein paar Flaschen abgef\u00fcllt zu haben. Sehr selten und streng limitiert, dies ist ein St\u00fcck fl\u00fcssige Geschichte.<\/p>\n

Dieser Armagnac stammt von Domaine der Baraillon in der Bas-Armagnac Region. Er wurde in 1929 destilliert und in 2021 abgef\u00fcllt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nImagine, 1929. I\u2019m sure this one\u2019s spent some time in demi-johns. As for the vintage here, I sure shan\u2019t mention the Great Depression, rather the fact that it was in 1929 that French Prime Minister Aristide Briand first brought up the subject of an European Federation.
\nColour:<\/strong> red amber.
\nNose:<\/strong> very delicate and extremely floral this time. Peonies, wallflowers, lilac, nectars and honeys\u2026 I believe this is rather sublime and that lower strengths do go well with this kind of profile. The exception that proves the rule. Old books and furniture, rosewood, cherry jam, viognier (or Condrieu), fig wine, drops of mead, tokay, a little mint and camphor\u2026 This really is a sublime nose.
\nMouth:<\/strong> a tad more gritty and rustic on the palate, almost calavados-y, with notes of sour apples and damson spirit. Vieille prune all over again, chouchen (distilled mead), even \u2018Glenlivet\u2019, some cocoa, black tobacco, overripe apples\u2026 Well let\u2019s not quibble, it\u2019s still excellent, it\u2019s just that the nose was totally out of this world.
\nFinish:<\/strong> medium and rather on roasted raisins and burnt brioche.
\nComments:<\/strong> it is extremely rare that I would go up to 90 just because of a stunning nose. Extremely rare indeed, but not totally unseen. Proof:
